Servitude for Quality Education – 2024
Raising awareness and possibilities for those with DYSLEXIA AND DYSCALCULIA across Azerbaijan.
The project Servitude for Quality Education is carried out with an initiative group from Azerbaijan, in collaboration with ESN in Azerbaijan and with the support/grant by the German Federal Foreign Office.
The project Servitude for Quality Education is dedicated to supporting children in Azerbaijan who face learning difficulties due to dyslexia and dyscalculia. The initiative focuses on early identification of these children and providing the necessary resources and support to help them to thrive in their education We aim to raise public awareness about neurodiversity and the importance of supporting these children, so they are not seen as “lazy” or “incompetent” either in school or at home.
The projects aim is to serve as a bridge, transferring advanced European expertise and the most effective practices for working with children with dyslexia to Azerbaijan, so that these children don’t have to wait decades for the support they deserve but receive it starting today.
The project Servitude for Quality Education offers events and seminars to train educators and people involved in learning therapy, ensuring they are equipped to work with children facing these challenges. In October-November 2024, we will organize a short course on dyslexia in Berlin for a delegation of educational professionals from Azerbaijan.
We will also introduce them to the support systems in place for students with dyslexia in schools across Berlin and Brandenburg and demonstrate how the Sibutz center operates. Professional training for educators is crucial for integrating students with dyslexia and dyscalculia into mainstream classrooms.
The Servitude for Quality Education project aims to build a community of parents, educators, and psychologists dedicated to supporting children with special educational needs.
Through workshops and the exchange of experiences, we hope to provide valuable support to those working with children who learn differently.
